Hi, I'm Li, the owner of Just Move Collective. Just Move Collective is a collection of products supporting your fitness and wellness needs. I have a passion for creating fitness guides and workouts for all bodies/fitness levels.
My passion for wellness was discovered watching my family members exercise. Growing up my mother and grandmother taught me the importance of eating healthy and being active but those habits declined the first year of college in 2010. Due to the lack of physical activity and consuming less fiber-based foods, I became the victim of the Freshman 15 and felt emotionally and physically drained inside my own body. Desperate and annoyed, one evening I told myself that I had to put an end to this! So I started performing push-ups and abdominal workouts after my 8:00 am classes. This was the first time no one made me exercise, I had to do it on my own.
Becoming independent in my own fitness journey led me to finish the American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification in 2012. My goal as a trainer is to improve my client’s fitness levels and find innovative ways for them to enjoy safe physical activities. These innovative ways including but not limited to, finding safe movement/workout spaces, exploring different types of physical activities locally, and providing efficient resources for physical activity.
Aside from training, I have a passion for community health outreach. I have conducted research focusing on household food insecurity and hypertension status in young Montagnard adults for the Public Health Department at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro under Dr. Sharon Morrison and Sudha Shreeniwas.
Because of my background, I continue to train communities who represent me in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am delighted that Just Move Collective allows me to highlight useful fitness resources for folks like you. Interested in donating? Donate here.
